Every Basel cruise port transfer is private — your group only, your vehicle, no shared coaches. We offer eight vehicle categories from standard cars for solo travellers to full-size coaches for groups of up to 50. All vehicles are air-conditioned and driven by English-speaking drivers experienced with international cruise guests.

Luggage tip: Travelling as a couple with 2 medium suitcases and small hand luggage? The Standard Car or Premium Car will do the job perfectly. Not sure? Our Standard Van is the safe, affordable choice — space for up to 7 passengers and a maximum of 7 large suitcases plus 5 carry-ons — plus your laptop bag or handbag on your lap. For a more luxurious ride with a smaller group, our Premium Van (Mercedes V-Class) is a great comfort upgrade — though note it carries fewer bags (max 4 large + handbag, small backpack or laptop bag on lap). If you have a lot of luggage, go straight to our VIP Sprinter which has the space for both passengers and bags. Travelling in a larger group? How to Choose the Right Vehicle

The right vehicle depends on two things: your group size and the total number of suitcases. Cruise luggage is typically larger and heavier than standard travel bags — most Rhine cruise guests travel with two large checked-size cases each plus a carry-on and a small personal item.

When in doubt, always select the next category up. The modest difference in price is worth the comfort of extra space — especially on longer journeys to Zermatt, St. Moritz, Geneva or the Jungfrau Region.

Child seats

Child seats are available on request. Please specify the age and weight of the child at booking so we can arrange the correct seat type. Child seats are fitted at no additional charge.

Accessibility

If any member of your party has mobility requirements or uses a wheelchair or walking frame, please let us know at booking. We will advise on the most suitable vehicle and ensure the driver is briefed before pick-up.

For anything more — more passengers, more bags, or if you are simply unsure — the Standard Van is the best choice. If you need more comfort with a smaller group, consider the Premium Van — though note it has less luggage capacity than the Standard Van.

Can I book a Mercedes for my Basel cruise transfer?

Yes. Our Premium Car category includes vehicles such as the Mercedes E-Class, and our Premium Van category includes the Mercedes V-Class. For larger groups, VIP Minibus transfers use the Mercedes Sprinter long version.

Do you have vehicles for groups of 8 to 16 passengers?

Yes. We offer a VIP Mercedes Sprinter for up to 8 passengers, a standard minibus for up to 12 passengers, and a larger minibus for up to 16 passengers. All include ample luggage space for cruise baggage.

Can you arrange bus transfers for large cruise groups of 20 to 50 passengers?

Yes. We can arrange full-size coach transfers for groups of 20 to 50 passengers with underfloor luggage storage. Contact us directly to request availability and a quote for large group bookings.

What if I am unsure how much luggage space I need?

Go with the Standard Van — it is the affordable, safe choice for most cruise guests. It has space for up to 7 passengers and a maximum of 7 large suitcases plus 5 carry-ons — plus your laptop bag or handbag on your lap. If you need more comfort and are travelling with a smaller group and lighter luggage (max 4 large + handbag, small backpack or laptop bag on lap), the Premium Van is a great step up. For heavy luggage loads with a larger group, the VIP Sprinter is the right choice — it has real space for both passengers and bags.

Are child seats available?

Yes — child seats can be requested at booking. Please specify the age and weight of the child so we can arrange the correct seat type.

Are your vehicles air-conditioned?

Yes. All vehicles in our fleet are air-conditioned, making them comfortable for summer transfers during the peak Rhine cruise season from April through October.
