Terms & Conditions — BaselCruiseTransfers

Last updated: 01 January 2026

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern the contract between you (“Customer” and/or “Passenger”) and BaselCruiseTransfers (sole proprietorship) for private ground transportation and related services.

By placing a booking and making payment, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Terms and our Privacy Policy (including cookies and tracking technologies).

1. Definitions

2. Contract formation and availability

  1. Website information is an invitation to book. A binding contract is formed once we issue a booking confirmation (email or system confirmation).
  2. We may reject or cancel a Booking if: required details are missing/incorrect; payment fails; we reasonably suspect fraud/abuse; the requested Service is not feasible; or the Service cannot be provided despite reasonable efforts (availability).
  3. If we cancel due to our unavailability (and not due to Customer fault), we refund the Service Price paid. The Processing Fee remains non-refundable if already incurred by the payment processor.

3. Prices, currency and taxes

  1. All prices are quoted and charged in Swiss Francs (CHF), unless expressly stated otherwise at checkout.
  2. If prices are displayed in another currency for convenience, such amounts are indicative only. The final charge will be made in CHF. Any currency conversion, exchange rate differences, or bank/card fees are solely the Customer’s responsibility.
  3. Prices shown at checkout apply exclusively to the selected route, time, and Service. Any subsequent change requested by the Customer may result in a price adjustment.

4. Payment terms (Stripe)

  1. Payments are processed by credit card via Stripe and are authorised immediately upon booking.
  2. Two payment options are available:
    • Full Payment: 100% charged at booking.
    • Deposit Option: 25% deposit charged at booking; remaining balance automatically charged 7 days before the Service.
  3. If the remaining balance cannot be successfully charged, we may cancel the Booking. Where a deposit was paid, the deposit is non-refundable because capacity was reserved.
  4. Processing Fee: A 3.5% Processing Fee applies and is non-refundable under all circumstances, to the extent permitted by law and card scheme rules.

5. Cancellation & modification policy

All times are measured from the scheduled Pickup Time.

5.1 Standard cancellation policy (all services except VIP Sprinter Fare)

Cancellations must be submitted in writing to bookings@baselcruisetransfers.com. The Customer is responsible for ensuring that the cancellation is received in time.

5.2 Special cancellation & change policy – VIP Sprinter Fare

The following conditions apply exclusively to bookings made under the “VIP Sprinter Fare” (Vehicle category: Mercedes Sprinter) and override the standard cancellation policy above.

Cancellation – VIP Sprinter Fare

Changes – VIP Sprinter Fare

6. Waiting time, meeting point and No-Show

  1. Included waiting time:
    • Standard pickups (non-airport): 15 minutes
    • Airport pickups: 60 minutes
  2. After included waiting time, waiting is charged at CHF 70 per hour, billed in 15-minute increments at CHF 17.50.
  3. No-Show: If the Customer/Passenger is not present at the agreed pickup location and does not respond or contact us within the included waiting time (and any additional time we agree to wait), the booking is considered a No-Show and no refund is due.
  4. The Customer must ensure the Passenger can be reached by phone (preferably WhatsApp) at the number provided in the booking.

7. Flight delays

  1. Flight delays up to 2 hours are accepted without additional charge, provided flight data is available or the Customer contacts us.
  2. Delays beyond 2 hours may result in additional waiting charges, rescheduling fees, or No-Show classification if the Customer does not contact us.

8. Changes and modifications

  1. Changes (pickup time/location, flight number, passenger count, luggage, child seat request, route, additional stops) must be requested as early as possible and are subject to availability.
  2. Changes may change the price. The Customer agrees to pay any additional amounts before service (or via card on file, where applicable).
  3. If we cannot accommodate a requested change, the original booking remains in effect unless the Customer cancels under Section 5.

9. Additional stops, sightseeing and tours

  1. Additional stops are permitted only within the same city as the booked Service.
  2. CHF 15 per additional stop, maximum 5 minutes per stop.
  3. Longer stops or out-of-city changes require a new booking and additional charges.

10. Child seats (mandatory)

  1. Child seats are mandatory for children up to 11 years of age.
  2. Child seats are provided free of charge only if requested at least 24 hours before service.
  3. If not requested in time, we may refuse to transport for safety/legal reasons and may cancel the booking without refund.

11. Luggage, special items, prohibited items (VERY IMPORTANT)

  1. The Customer must select a vehicle suitable for the number of passengers and the amount/size of luggage. Each booking must include accurate luggage details.
  2. Not automatically accepted / must be agreed BEFORE booking (written confirmation required):
    • Wheelchairs or mobility devices (including folding wheelchairs)
    • Skis and snowboards
    • Any oversized, bulky, unusually heavy, or special-handling items (including large sports equipment)
  3. If we are not informed in advance and do not expressly confirm acceptance, we may refuse carriage of such items. Where the Service cannot be performed safely or legally due to undisclosed special items, we may cancel the booking without refund (Customer fault).
  4. Animals/pets are not permitted (including in carriers).
  5. Prohibited items: illegal substances, hazardous materials, and any item that is unsafe or unlawful to transport.
  6. If excess/oversized luggage prevents safe transport or exceeds vehicle capacity, the booking may be treated as a No-Show (no refund).

12. No smoking/vaping, conduct, damage/cleaning

  1. Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited in the vehicle.
  2. We may terminate the Service immediately (no refund) if Passenger behaviour threatens safety, violates law, or risks damage.
  3. The Customer is liable for damage caused by the Passenger(s), including exceptional cleaning due to spills/vomit/smoke and may be charged a reasonable cleaning/repair fee.

13. Vehicle substitution

Vehicle images/models are illustrative. We may provide a different vehicle of equal or higher category/capacity if needed for operational reasons, without refund.

14. Chargebacks, payment disputes and bad-faith claims

  1. The Customer agrees to contact bookings@baselcruisetransfers.com and make a reasonable attempt to resolve any billing or service-related issue before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute.
  2. If the Customer initiates a chargeback or payment dispute without prior contact, and such dispute is found to be unjustified, abusive, or contrary to these Terms, BaselCruiseTransfers may recover all costs incurred, including: non-refundable processing fees; chargeback fees imposed by the payment provider; and reasonable administrative/handling costs.
  3. Administrative handling costs may be charged at a flat fee of up to CHF 50, provided such fee reflects the actual effort and costs incurred.
  4. This does not affect the Customer’s statutory rights. Legitimate and justified chargebacks remain unaffected.

15. Complaints and support

Complaints should be reported as soon as possible and, where feasible, within 24 hours of the Service to bookings@baselcruisetransfers.com. The Customer must provide reasonable supporting information upon request.

16. Liability

  1. BaselCruiseTransfers is liable only for direct damages caused by wilful misconduct or gross negligence, to the extent permitted by law.
  2. Maximum liability is strictly limited to the Service Price paid for the affected Service.
  3. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including missed flights/cruises, accommodation costs, lost profits, or lost opportunities.
  4. We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by third parties (airlines, cruise lines, rail operators) or by inaccurate information provided by the Customer.

17. Force majeure and unforeseeable circumstances

We are not liable for delay, interruption, or non-performance caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, accidents, road closures, strikes, public emergencies, government restrictions, power/telecom outages, and extreme or unforeseeable traffic congestion.

Where feasible, we will make reasonable efforts to mitigate disruption, but punctual arrival is not guaranteed.

18. EU consumer information

For EU consumers, cancellations and refunds are governed by Section 5, except where mandatory consumer law provides otherwise.

19. Privacy

Personal data (and any cookie/tracking matters) are handled exclusively under our Privacy Policy.

20. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Swiss law. Exclusive place of jurisdiction is Lucerne, Switzerland, unless mandatory consumer law requires otherwise.

21. Severability and entire agreement

If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the remainder remains in effect. These Terms, the booking confirmation, and the Privacy Policy form the entire agreement.
